The TS-h1277AXU-RP comes with two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 5 slots that allow for installing NVMe SSDs (including WD, Micron, Seagate, Kingston) to boost NAS performance. PCIe Gen 5 is backwards compatible with PCIe Gen 4 / PCIe Gen 3 for flexible SSD deployment.

SSD caching

Boost IOPS for transferring a huge number of small files by configuring SSD caching with two M.2 SSDs, without occupying any 3.5-inch drive bays.
